The city

I arrived with Guillaume at the terminal at 4am. Why so early ?! Because the bus driver was driving very fast. We took the 10pm bus and with a 8 hours journey, we would have arrived at 6am. However, the bus was rushing all way long. I realized it when I woke up in the middle of the night. I felt that all my body was balancing from left to right due the curves of the road and the high speed.

The city was really pleasant and beautiful. We took one day for enjoying it and relaxing since the last crossing border.

The food

I tasted a lot of good things in the city. The Salpicón is a frozen mix of blackberry, lulo and pieces of guanabana.

For my breakfast, I tasted the Tamales and Empanadas de Pipian. The Pipian mix contains potatoes, peanuts and pork. You eat them with a spicy peanuts sauce.
Also, I discovered other specialties:
- Champus: A drink with Panela, honey, corn, fruits such as lulo, guanabana or pineapple with cinnamon and clove
- Chontaduro: The fruit of some kind of palm tree, I ate it with honey
- Arepa: A corn bread with cheese inside that is eaten warm
- Lulada: A mix of lulo, lemon, ice, sugar and water
