Tour
I did the tour with Natural Adventure, the agency down the hostel. We were one driver, one cooker (we never saw, but she cooked well!!), and 5 tourists. 4 French and 1 Italian, so we spoke mostly French in the car.
Lots of images are better for living this trip.
Day 1 – South Lipez
Or what we called, the mini Machu Picchu. There is also an old small mine close to the town, the entrance was ridiculously tight.
Day 2 – Most South part
The reference to Dali comes due to the rocks that look surrealism in the landscape. It could have been a painting from the great artist.
The volcano peaks at 6000 meters.
Normally, the smoke goes straight to the top. But, that day was incredibly windy. On top of that, it was hard to walk and cold.
The highest point we reached, 5000 meters high at the geysers.
The red color comes from the copper inside the water.
Day 3 – Rocks Valley
It is hard to see, but I have no better picture. The rock where I am standing is actually the head. And down in the valley, the river zigzagging in the body of the anaconda.
All the wall, the tables and chairs were made of salt. The floor was also salt. I would have preferred a candy hostel, but we did with the environment.
Day 4 – Uyuni Salt Flat
We arrived at the Isla Incahuasi at 4:30am. We waited for 1h30 for the sunset. Not only long, all that time in the dark was incredibly cold even with all the layers I found in my backpack.
Goodbye 🙂
