Desierto de Tatacoa

Desierto de Tatacoa

After a day journey in different buses from San Agustin, we reached Villavieja. The last town before the Tatacoa desert. Actually, this is not a real desert, but a dry tropical jungle. Although water is rare and temperature is high, there are birds and vegetation. The day after, we visited the two parts: one with red rocks and one with gray rocks.

On a motorbike

We rented a motorbike for the day. With it, we could move on our rhythm. Guillaume has a license so he was the driver. Nonetheless, he instructed me how to drive. So, I drove a bit and even did a hill start with both of us on the moto!

We ended the day in a swimming pool in the desert. The natural water cooled us down. Though it was still hot, when we reached the pool, clouds arrived and it was the coldest part of the day.
