Milongas
Mamerta
A Milonga every Tuesday, with a class and a live band. As everybody knows each other, it is really friendly. However, the place is quite small. I met my tango group friends there last November. Since we continue to meet every Tuesday.

Club Premier
A Milonga on Thursday with the Milonga style that is faster. Unfortunately, the atmosphere during the Milonga was not great when I was there. Nevertheless, my friends told me that last week it was definitely better.

Chanta 4 Milonga
A Milonga in the district of San Telmo. With a covered dance floor and an open-air lounge, the place is good for enjoying the fresh night between two tangos. After 1am, the dance floor starts to be crowded.

La Cachivacheria
An open air Milonga with a nice atmosphere. This time, the tango punk band El Cachivache, one I really like, was playing. On top of that, one of the teachers of Mamerta Pedro was doing a tango show performance with his partner Tamara.
La Viruta
La Viruta a huge Milonga, famous for its role of second Milonga. The beginning of the night is filled with many dance classes and not only Tango. After a quiet time until 1:30pm, the Milonga starts to be crowded. The reason is that all the other Milonga close and everybody come here. I found the level higher than usually late at night but pleasant to watch. Last but not least, after 00:30am the Milonga is free!

I also wanted to see a training of a carnaval group called Murga. So that, I would have been able to compare with the one I saw later in Montevideo. However, it was canceled due to the rain.
